A quick look
Boot Camp is a 6 week physical training course that will get you in the best shape of your life. Our training sessions are always unique; no two workouts are the same and we use a wide variety of exercises and exercise techniques so you will never reach a plateau or get bored with your training! We are not fixed on any definite ideas or techniques; if it works, we use it! So you can expect workouts that will test you physically as well as mentally each and every time for however long you train with us. People usually discover after a single 6 week course with us that their previous way of exercising was nothing but a waste of time, so they sign up for Boot Camp full-time instead.
The workouts are tough but you will without doubt have fun while doing them. You will achieve goals which you thought were unattainable and reach even beyond that. If you want to train with the best then Boot Camp is the place for you.

The history
Boot Camp started in 2004 when 20 brave individuals signed up for the first class. The reputation of these workouts quickly spread and today over 1000 people attend Boot Camp classes every week in Reykjavik alone and the course is also held in 6 other locations around the country.
Boot Camp is a very unique training method put together and developed by its founders, Arnaldur Birgir Konradsson and Robert Traustason. In 2000 Konradsson worked as a bodyguard and a personal trainer. He finished two High Risk Bodyguard Training Courses, one in England and the other in South Africa, where he trained with former special operators from several countries. In these courses he learned a lot of the training techniques which Boot Camp is based upon. When also drawing on his experience from diverse sports training as well as training individuals as a personal trainer, he and Traustason had found a great way to train people and Boot Camp came to life. There are many fitness courses around the world which have the same name but this particular mix of workouts, training methods and exercise techniques was a unique combination which people had never seen before.
The Boot Camp way
Boot Camp is a group class system where instructors strive to get the most out of each and every individual. The trainees attend three, hour long classes every week as well as one special two hour long outdoor workout every other week. This module has proven its effectiveness on the thousands of people who have come to Boot Camp and experienced their highest level of fitness ever. Boot Camp has produced champions in almost every endurance and fitness competition held in Iceland since it started.
When Boot Camp started, people in Iceland either played sports or worked out in a typical gym with treadmills and exercise machines. Boot Camp brought the basics back to the Icelanders' workout and today one can see various group classes outside the normal gyms as well as personal trainers finally using bodyweight exercises, boxing and sandbags as well as other minimalist tools instead of the highly expensive and brainless training with machines.
Our goals
Our goal is that everyone feels that he or she can belong in Boot Camp. If you WANT to achieve great results and are willing to work hard to get them, Boot Camp is the place for you. There are no shortcuts from a lifestyle as a couch potato to becoming a great athlete, you will have to put in the hours and pay for those years of slacking. In Boot Camp you will do it quickly, effectively and you'll have a great time doing it, reaching new goals, training with a group of equally motivated people and very skilled instructors who will go to great lengths to help you in your quest of becoming a better you. Don't be afraid, just take the step and get yourself in the best physical and mental shape of your life!
